Sandra Hudak MS RN, Principal

Ms. Hudak has over 25 years in healthcare, with extensive experience in software development, integrating process redesign and IT strategies into clinical workfow, serving as clinical liaison to vendor for multiple clinical system implementation efforts, and facilitating transition from paper to electronic documentation.  In addition, she has in-depth experience in case management redesign and coordinating large and small team efforts in process improvement and IT implementation for large hospital systems, physician practices, and long term care providers.

For over ten years her focus has been in clinical informatics, serving as liaison between clinicians and vendor in acute care system implementations, information planner to facilitate system selection projects in acute care, product manager for IT vendor to coordinate and manage new product development for web-based clinical applications for hospital and physician practices. She has in-depth experience in collaborating with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff to elicit system requirements for large and small multidisciplinary clinical and ancillary implementation projects and software development initiatives.

She has 14 years experience in critical care nursing and has served on organization wide committees to redesign the patient care delivery model for multiple hospitals. In addition, she has contributed to numerous task force teams to develop Critical Pathways for cardiac patients and a Professional Practice model in critical care.

Previous experiences include Director of Product Development for an Internet-based health care technology business focused on physician practice clinical system and Manager Information Planning for multi-facility hospital where she coordinated and managed clinical system selection projects.

Ms Hudak received her BSN and MS in Nursing Informatics from the University of Maryland School of Nursing.

Siobhan Sharkey, MBA, Principal

Ms. Sharkey has over 25 years of experience in health care clinical practice improvement initiatives and integration of QI with health information technology implementation.  Her focus has been evaluating opportunities for process-centered performance improvement, analyzing workflow, care management design in acute, ambulatory and long-term care settings, project managing multi-site quality improvement efforts, facilitating organizational change/restructuring strategies, and facilitating performance improvement  initiatives using IT.

Areas of expertise include process and quality improvement tools, implementation strategies, data analysis, analytical methods and techniques, project management, organizational change/restructuring strategies, developing cross-functional team workplans (product management, software development, and deployment).

Previous experiences include Vice President of Corporate Strategy for an Internet-based health care technology business, Internal Consultant for clinical practice improvement and redesign efforts within Intermountain Health Care (IHC), and Senior Research Associate in health care consulting at APM, Inc.  She has published articles and spoken at numerous conferences around the country on clinical workflow and quality improvement, case management, and use of health information systems to improve processes and clinical outcomes.

Siobhan received her MBA from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School and a BA in Applied Mathematics/Economics from Yale University
